Know Before You Go

Advanced Airline Check-In

When possible, we recommend checking in online with your specific airline(s) 24 hours prior to departure. In some cases, this will not be possible. If this is the case, please allow a little extra time at the airport for check-in. If you would like to change your seating, this may also be done at the time of check-in. Please review your e-tickets carefully for further instructions.

Airport Check-In

Please ensure you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to your international flight departure time. Your passport is required for check-in. Due to increased airport security measures, please be sure to leave ample time for check-in as late arrival could result in denied boarding.

Security and Baggage

Please respect the safety regulations for all international flights. Knives, scissors, lighters, nail manicure sets, razors or any other sharp objects must be packed in your checked luggage. These items will not be allowed inside the plane cabin or in your carry-on baggage. Please refer to your specific airline for baggage restrictions and allowances. See the following webpage for a comprehensive list of security information for air travel.

Embarkation/Disembarkation (ED) Card

The Aruba ED Card (Embarkation/Disembarkation) is essential for everyone who wishes to enter Aruba. Completing and securing approval for this document is mandatory. To access the official ED Card page, please click the link below. You MUST complete the ED Card up to 7 days prior to your travel to Aruba.

Arrival and Departure Information

*Please note, due to the nature of the arrival experience, please ensure ALL baggage is labelled and tagged with your contact information on it.

Instructions if you are flying to Aruba on the program dates:

Upon arrival at Queen Beatrix International Airport, you will exit the plane and follow signs for ‘Immigration’ where you will present your passport, ED Card, and any other required documents to the immigration officer. After clearing immigration, head to the baggage claim area to collect your luggage. You will be greeted by a Destination Services Agent and a Lorandus representative, as you exit the baggage terminal. Your host will ensure you have all documents in hand and explain the arrival procedures. They will be holding a Veritiv welcome sign. They will escort you to your private transportation and extend a warm welcome to the Island.
